Exporting the Estimate

The current estimate can be exported into an MSExcel™ Spreadsheet.

 

Note: Exporting the current estimate requires that MSExcel™ has been previously loaded on your computer. Versions from before 2003 will not interpret the data correctly, so be sure your (or the recipient's) version of  MSExcel™ is version 2003 or newer.

 

Follow the steps below to export the current estimate, thereby creating an Excel spreadsheet (.xls).

 

  1. From the current estimate window use the Estimate Action pull-down menu and select Export to Excel.  

 

 

  1. Click the "GO" button button.
     

  2. You will be given the options to save or open the newly created spreadsheet file.  If you decide to save the file at this time, you'll be asked where you want the file saved. If you decide to open the file at this time, MSExcel™ will be automatically accessed and the file will be formatted into a spreadsheet.  Remember to save the Excel file before closing it.
