How to Generate a Report

MeansCostWorks.com is equipped with a report generation tool.

 

Follow the steps below to generate a report:

 

  1. From the Estimate View window, choose Report from the Estimate Action drop-down menu displayed below.

 

 

 

  1. Click the button.
     

  2. Choose a report format by using the drop-down menu displayed below.  

    Note:
    Each data type (Assembly or Unit Cost) will present different report formats.


     

  1. Select the report format of (Unit Cost or Assembly) Detail or (Unit Cost or Assembly) Summary.
     

  2. Click the "Preview" button - click to generate the selected button to view the selected report. The report displays on your screen.
     

  3. Select the Print or Printer Friendly button to print the report.

    Note:
    On the Unit Cost Summary report, you can view the three percent markups as they are applied to the subtotal of the report. Each markup percentage total is added to the cumulative subtotal. The markup percentage is then multiplied by the cumulative subtotal. The subtotal for the General Contractor's markup on Subs, General Conditions, and General Contractor's Overhead and Profits displays the subtotal plus the markup percent cost. The markups are added progressively to each of the three subtotals.
