The Estimate View
The Estimate View window has 6 main sections:
With the Search Bar you can easily search through the Means Data to locate the lines that will make up your estimate.

This section of the Estimate View window displays the preferences that have been set for the estimate including:
Measurement System (English vs. Metric)
The inactive fields (grayed-out) can not be altered in this location. Use the Modify Preferences option of the Tool Bar to make changes to inactive fields.
The active fields can be altered here. Remember to use the Recalculate option of the Tool Bar for your changes to take effect.
The Search Tree is located on the left margin of the Estimate View window and is used for locating particular data lines.

The Cost Data section displays all of the information found in the Cost Book you selected for the estimate.

Recalculate the Estimate
Preview the Estimate
Generate a Report for the Estimate
Email the Estimate
Export the Estimate
Save the Estimate
The Current Estimate is where you'll accumulate cost lines from the Cost Data section, as well as enter data for your custom cost lines.
You'll have the following options available to you in the Current Estimate.
Specify/Edit the quantity (based on the unit of measure) for each Cost Line
